The Next Gen update for Call2Teams Go

Now that it’s generally available, the Next Gen update for Call2Teams Go is already helping to overhaul user experiences for those using the integration to get calling in Microsoft Teams.

But what exactly does this update entail, and how does it affect Providers who have Call2Teams Go as a part of their portfolio, businesses that have Call2Teams Go and ultimately the end-user?

What pain points does the Next Gen Call2Teams Go update address?

Even though it accomplished the ultimate goal of reducing licensing costs for those who were looking to natively voice enable Microsoft Teams, we were receiving some feedback from partners who found that the calling experience itself could be improved.

We took this feedback on board and got to work to develop a new calling flow which would address these concerns, remove calling confusion and create an experience that was second to none.

In this update we’ve done just that, simultaneously improving Call2Teams Go and removing barriers to growth, adoption and development opportunities with a brand new calling flow in the Call2Teams Go interface.

What does this mean for Providers?

At Dstny, we're always striving for perfection, so one of our primary aims for this update was to give Providers a solution that they would be 100% happy to put their name on. This new calling experience gives Providers the confidence to push forward with this game-changing solution and activate development opportunities.

Next Gen Call2Teams Go allows partners to differentiate themselves from their competition by offering a Teams native voice integration that performs for most use cases and is perfect for cost sensitive industries and verticals.

Thanks to our new and improved calling journey, there is now a whole new world of opportunities and unique addressable markets that Call2Teams Go opens up.

Please note: If you’re already a Call2Teams Go partner, all you have to do is toggle on Next Gen in your Call2Teams portal and run a sync. Going forward, all new accounts will have Next Gen toggled on as default.

What does this mean for businesses using Call2Teams Go?

Next Gen Call2Teams Go delivers all the voice calling quality and capability a business needs, with no implementation burden on IT teams and no additional unnecessary licenses required. For businesses calling for less in Microsoft Teams is more simple than ever so they are now able to get their staff up to speed with less training.

On top of this, as Microsoft have announced that they are raising their phone system license pricing in April 2025, and because Call2Teams Go is built around reducing licensing complexity, now is a perfect time for businesses to embrace this solution.

What does this mean for Call2Teams Go users?

This update orbits around the central idea of improving user experiences, so of course there is a lot of change for the people using Call2Teams Go on a day-to-day basis. For them there is now a seamless calling experience, both on desktop and mobile.

As always, users can make and receive PSTN calls natively, without the need to switch out of Teams, but now with a much improved flow all with minimal to no disruption to business as usual. All users have to do is click to dial.
